I usually love an amazing arm party with tons of wrist candy but recently I’ve fallen for a single bold cuff. It adds a little edge to my outfits and totally makes me feel like a badass when I wear it. My fav look is a bold gold cuff with a classic white tee, denim shorts and killer heels. A bold metallic or colorful cuff is definitely a piece that everyone should have in their arm party rotation!!

The weather has been playing with our emotions, but as soon as it’s warm enough (again) I can’t wait to wear tons of printed shorts! Printed shorts were inching into our wardrobes last spring but this season they are one of my favorite trends. You can find these shorts in various print styles such as floral, tribal, geometric, or whimsy, so whatever your taste–you’ll definitely find a printed short you love! Try wearing them with a basic white top and a layering sweater or leather jacket. Or wear them with a solid color top thats more punchy and bold.

Since our weather in the DC area has been unusually warm for this time of year, I’ve decided to bypass winter and start spring early. What better way than to rock some of the neon we’ve all been swooning over. Lately I’ve been beyond obsessed with anything neon–the brightness of the colors always put me in the most happy, playful mood! Try pairing a neon tank with distressed jeans, a gray cardigan and a black motorcycle jacket. Add a pair of sexy ankle booties and you’re ready for any day or night activities. If you’re a little apprehensive about wearing neon, you can start small with a scarf or as part of your arm party. It doesn’t matter how you decide to add a little pop of neon, I can promise you won’t be disappointed!!!

Nights out with my best girlfriends are always amazing because we get dressed up, glammed out and hit the town for tons of fun. Having the perfect outfit that makes you feel like a million bucks can add that extra element of confidence and put a little sparkle in your eye. The LBD is always a must-have and adding some bold red lips can add a perfect pop. If you want to go a little softer, a cute floral dress with flowing tasseled locks and some chunky platforms can add a little bit of edge to an otherwise dainty outfit. Here are a few of my favorite highSTYLE eye candy inspirations. If you have a girl’s night out this weekend and think you nailed the perfect outfit–send us a pic!

I have officially found a new obsession for this summer: Maxi Dresses and Maxi Skirts. They are casual but dressy, chic but not too over the top, and a simple solid colored dress can be the foundation or the statement piece of your entire ensemble! Solid colored maxi dresses are everywhere and are now affordable for everyone. My favorite one right now is my black maxi dress that I got for just $30.00 and I’ve been able to create several different looks.
We’ve gone over some rules of thumb for wearing maxi dresses before and at first we really favored the print maxi. But after some exploration we’ve grown to love the simple foundation and versatility offered by the solid. For a more sleek look, choose black or a darker color. Pair your maxi dress with a cute sweater, blazer, denim jacket or just wear it as it is and accessorize! Keep the accessories to a minimum, but keep them bold. You can try a more edgy look by wearing it with a leather jacket and boots (thats one), or a more bohemian look by pairing it with a denim jacket, natural-looking sandals and a hat (thats two). Another look could be a more chic presentation, pairing the maxi dress with a blazer and nice heels (three) or and over sized cardi and Toms (and four). Here are a few photos I found through my blog of people rocking their maxi inspirations!

A must have for every style savvy girl’s closet, the signature blazer is something every woman needs. Whether it is form-fitting fit or a boyfriend fit (my personal favorite), blazers are amazing pieces to either add sophistication or a more put together look. This season, blazers can be found in any colour and style and finding the perfect blazer just for you just got easier! There are crochet blazers, floral blazers, boyfriend fits, straight fits, and in all colors of the rainbow! When wearing your blazer, keep your look either simple with jeans, a white or black tshirt, and nice oxfords or dress it up with a fun dress and heels. Accessories never fail, so style it with a gold boyfriend watch and stack on the bangles! For that “something extra” add a fedora or a statement necklace. Here are some looks I gathered through my personal blog that I couldn’t wait to share with whippedSTYLE readers.

If there’s one thing about the Kentucky Derby that really makes it an experience, it’s the fashion and the larger-than-life HATS! There aren’t to many events these days that you can sport an outlandishly, fabulous hat, but on Derby Day, the bigger the better. We searched high and low and found some amazing Derby-worthy Etsy hat’s that are sure to be show stoppers.
