This is my favorite white chair. It’s nothing fancy, just your standard white EKTORP chair from ikea. But it’s my comfort zone.
I bought it, as well as the matching couch, about seven years ago. When I
downsized moved in with my now-hubs, I sold the couch, but I just couldn’t part with the chair.
Lately, I’ve really taken this chair for granted, carelessly tossing over it the day’s clothes or things I don’t feel like folding. I’ve forgotten how much I really love it. Until recently, when the hubs and I started more seriously discussing the idea of parting with it to make room for more “adult” necessities in our room like a steamer and a new desk chair (both things we really do need). I knew parting with the chair was totally the right, practical move but suddenly the idea of seeing someone drive off with my favorite white chair made me so so upset.
