I got home last night with THE most terrible headache I’ve had in a long, long time. Sorry I didn’t get to whip up any of the floral blazer fun I promised! Next week. As of right now, I’m definitely fighting something and all I want is to be in my bed! Which always makes me think of one of my favorite photography prints, Well Read from Leigh Viner. Such a fun, fresh talent, that one.

Do you ever feel like you know my husband so well, it’s as though you’ve shared a beer with him in real life? Of course not! Because the hubs is pretty MIA on this blog. He’s a pretty private guy in general, so when it comes to online activity, he usually prefers to fly under the radar–an observer, if you will. And it’s funny that this is his “online personality,” because it couldn’t be further from his personality in life–he’s charismatic, charming, opinionated, always the life of the party and oh-so-much fun. And for the first time ever, he’s showing face! ONLINE! He recently (much to my surprise!) dished with Victoria of vmac & cheese about being married to a blog(ger) for her series The Man Behind The Blog (SUCH a fun series!) So now you can go get to know Mr. Mace!
And, as many of you know, Liz from So Much to Smile About and I have been close close blogging buddies since the beginning of this blog. In fact, she and Lara from the glossarie were literally my first blogging buddies!!–we all met on the same night. So I was super excited, and honored, even!, to be the first in Liz’s new series Snippets of Style. Such fun questions that I had a blast putting some thought into. It’s a fun way to check out little snippets of my style!

I love this time of year. March is around the corner, daylight savings is in TWO WEEKS!!!!, and our favorite boutiques and brands are rolling out the creme de la creme of spring fashion. So this can really be considered a follow-up to my first spring 2013 wish list–and you can expect two more, for sure!!! So. Much. Delight. (I know, Im just as excited as you are). And obviously some of these pieces, like this ridiculously gorgeous bracelet, for example–OBSESSED, are in my dreams, you know? But I love dreaming.

And today I did just that! Well, kind of today AND yesterday. I had a blast today shooting with Washingtonian Magazine and feel beyond lucky to be involved in a fun little spring spread they have planned for the April issue. More on that to come! But what’s better than photo prep?! It’s rare I treat myself to a day of confidence-boosting beauty love. You know those days? The ones where you get a mani, pedi, go to yoga, get a new pair of shoes (they were on sale!) and finish your day at the Drybar? The best!!! Granted, I still worked in between all the glam-up appointments but that certainly didn’t dull any of the fun! Hope you have an amazing weekend!
So I’m not going to go as far as to say I’m going to get this umbrella, but I’d be lying if i said it didn’t cross my mind!!! Nonetheless, I’m on the hunt for a cute umbrella.
