So, Facebook is Being Annoying…

Missing some of your favorite Facebook pages? Me too! And as many of you know, I can’t even deal–I need my social media to be organized just so…
Facebook needs to make a buck, I get it. But few small businesses and content sites can afford to pay to get every post in your newsfeed which means you could be missing out on a whole mess of fun. The solution? Customize your newsfeed by adding some of your favorite pages to your “interests.” It’s basically a tier system (interests > likes) that allows Facebook to determine what info you want in your feed. Otherwise, you’ll likely only get updates from pages and people that a) you frequently interact with or b) pay big bucks. So take control of your newsfeed and let’s keep up! Here’s how:

Attempting to Create a Gallery Wall

I’ve been editing, printing, editing and printing, trying to get pictures from my recent trip together for a little gallery wall action. I have this awkwardly long wall in my living room. I’ve gone back and forth with how to style it–long painting, many paintings, pictures, prints–all along resisting the one obvious solution: a gallery wall. Gallery walls can be tricky!!! But ultimately, a gallery wall just requires careful planning. Now that I’ve completed all my Europe edits, I. Am. Ready. Here goes! Here’s two layouts I’m thinking of so far… Thoughts? I think I like the second one more–the coloring feels more balanced.

*P.S. Two people messaged me about buying photography prints– of course! (and talk about being flattered slash surprised!) If you’d like to purchase a print, just shoot me an email at Casie@whippedSTYLE.com. I have all of them in black and white or color. Any print in this gallery wall inspiration that is not my own is listed below.

Straight Scenery: A Few Favorite Pics From Europe

Whether you’re a pro photographer or just a photog enthusiast, you know the feeling. The feeling you get when you think you may have actually gotten the EXACT shot you were going for. You pull the camera away from your cheek to check the display screen and you’re instantly overcome with joy, pride and excitement. Everything in the shot, the ISO, the shutter speed, the aperture and the frame–it’s all exactly how you hoped it would be. You got the shot. Is there a better feeling?

(oh, new shoes.. you’re right).

Certainly places like Paris, Bern and Lucerne can bring out the very best, though! Here’s a few of my favorite shots from my recent trip abroad. I definitely have more to share but today is just about the photog ops I was most excited about. It was unbelievably dreamy, as you can see!! Do you have a favorite!?

Chunky Knit Scarves

I’ve been very into knit scarves lately. I’ve always been into chunky knit sweaters (is there anything better on a crisp day?) but add another layer of love to that look and it’s just fall fabulousness. I mean, how cozy!? Chunky knit scarves are the perfect way to add a touch of texture of an ensemble while making sure you stay toasty on chilly fall afternoons. The only thing you’ll need is a little PSL to complete the feel, right!? Yummy all over.

Also, you’ll hear more about this shop in the coming months but my cousin Ashlen, whom you may remember as a WS contributor last year, opened the cutest Etsy shop, Faith’s Yarn Works, and can knit chunky knit scarves and infinity scarves made-to-order! Oh-so-chic.
