Say to self three times. Repeat. I’m so ready for spring and willing it so with bright bright bright colors. If you live in the D.C. area and happened picked up the latest issue of the Washingtonian Magazine, you know this is my favorite spring trend!! And having fun with brights for spring can be done in so many ways. As I mentioned the other day, bright print pants are so much fun to experiment with, but I also love color blocking with bright tones like pink + orange and cobalt + yellow. But for this look I went in a different direction. I mean… I obviously I had to accommodate the skirt. It deserved to be the star.

3 Perfect Little White Dresses
I guess I have to admit that I’m on a bit of a white kick! As you’ve seen here and here, I’m prepping to be in full white-out mode once we get some sunny days here in D.C. But it occurred to me this weekend that it’s been a while since I invested in a really nice little white dress (or an LWD, as we all know it). I think after my wedding I was just white dress’d-out, you know? But this year I’m ALL about the LWD. Love love love! The ‘occasion’ LWD and the fancy LWD are always great pieces to have on hand, but the ‘everyday’ LWD is the one you want to really think about. I like to find everyday white dresses that can be easily layered in various ways, but can also hold their own — perfection. I think the layering possibilities tend to be an after-thought when shopping for a little white dress–so think about it! Here’s three of my favorite thus far. I’m definitely dying over the Ellery dress. In my dreams, but it’s so gorgeous!! And I must admit, this dress gets a much-deserved honorable mention. I love anything with cut-outs right now!!!
Let’s Go Shopping: LOFT Grand Opening!

Classic and Lady-Like For Spring
You may remember that I set a goal to start doing outfit posts in 2013. Well.. I’d like to thank T.J.Maxx for selecting me to be one of their Spring Style Scouts, as it’s finally forcing me to do so! Seriously, absent of this assignment I’m not sure when, if ever, I would have mustered up the courage. I’m soooo much more comfortable on the other side of the lens, guys!! But this is a good thing, and I’m really excited/nervous/terrified/thrilled that I’m finally doing it!! Plus, it doesn’t hurt that I have some amazing inspiration. If you’ve been following my instagram, you know I’ve scored some amazing finds at my local T.J.Maxx stores! And I was a T.J.Maxx rookie, so this was seriously a whole new world for me! So, without further adieu, here’s my first look for spring!!!: Lady-like pastels.

My Favorite Sale — TONIGHT!
Possibly the best sale of all time, and certainly the best semi-annual sale in DC, the Gilt City DC’s warehouse sale is not to be missed! At the last one I scored this amazing Celine sweater that I wore at least once–okay twice–a week this winter. See the rest and get the deets after the jump!

6 Perfect White Bags For Spring
Oh hello, spring!!! How I’ve missed you, so!! True to form, I’m getting the itch for a crisp spring bag. And nothing says spring/summer quite like white, white, white! Here’s a few of my favorite white bags for the season. The Marc Jacobs is hanging in there as one of my favorites for the third season in a row–guess that makes it pretty classic! And the Vince Camuto Bolt Tote looks so perfect–I’m torn!
3 Easy Spring Looks With Sheer + Denim
I’m super excited about today’s post with Target! The focus today is on sheer fabrics, which is one of my favorite spring trends, as it really does embody everything I love about spring fashion. It’s light and airy with the perfect balance of innocence and sex-appeal, don’t you think? One of my favorite go-to looks this spring will definitely be a light sheer blouse with some easy denim shorts and some fun accessories. Perfect summer uniform. But since sheer fabrics do tend to be so light though, I try to follow a few rules when wearing a sheer piece:
1) Be careful when layering. The fabric is obviously too light to layer underneath using certain fabrics–you’ll end up with war-of-the-fabric tugging all day–not fun. The coverage you choose to wear under sheer fabric, if any other than a chic and sexy bra, should be skin tight and sprayed with a little static guard.
2) Be careful when choosing your necklaces! I ruined a mesh-panel top once in my attempt to get ambitious with a statement necklace. It was a sad day.
Here’s a few of my favorite sheer+ denim looks from Target. Dying over some of these pieces! Like I said, dan.ger.ous.
