Remember the awesome mouse pad we found in this post? Love it! But, ever the procrastinator, I still haven’t ordered it. So, obviously I was super excited to find a tutorial to just make it! So awesome. (I think I’ll do a pale pink or gold… thoughts?)
It’s no secret that I love spray paint. I genuinely believe there’s nothing a can of spray paint can’t fix, glam up or brighten. From adding some flair to a simple white bowl to making chalkboards out of old refrigerator magnets, I’ve always believed a can of spray paint is the answer to any project. Check out a few of these awesome DIYs that you can do with just a roll of tape and a can of spray paint! I so never thought of adding a vibrant touch of color to folding chairs or a layer of shimmer to my hangers, but both add such a perfectly pretty twist, don’t you think!? And business cards? Stop it. Leave it to Camille of Camille Styles to think of something so easy and so chic. What else can we spray paint……

How simply cute are these! Just don’t forget to pick up some decorative tape to add the perfect finishing touches. I personally LOVE this gold polka dot tape–but maybe Im just in the mood today to love gold polka dots, ha!

I love short shorts for summer. They’re fun, care-free and oh-so-comfy. But let’s be honest, I’m a grown woman and I think it’s safe to say I’ve out grown the “booty short.” So what’s a gal to do?! Add a mini flap back! Grab your scissors + an old pair of jeans– here we go!
I love the washed out denim look for shorts so I used an old pair of jeans that I bleached last year. I basically followed the design of a pair of Zara shorts I recently got (the one’s I instagrammed here). They have a small slit and the back is just a tad longer than the front (which means no funny bulging when you sit down, wooohooo!)

Mark where you’d like the front and where you’d like the back. Also mark the inside, drawing a line across both legs.
Fold + repeat.
Cut the front first.
Find your line on the back and cut straight through, meeting the line you out on the inside.

I had so much fun trying out some nail polish tricks to spruce up my key identifiers! Why stick to one color, right!? And if my keys were getting a new make over, I certainly couldn’t leave out the largest key chain canvas of them all, my entry key fob.

Last week I blogged about a few really awesome DIYs that use nail polish. I couldn’t wait to do the brooch but when I hit the flea market on my lunch break, I couldn’t find the right kind of brooch needed. Booooo! After striking out at a few other places, I relized I was silly for not just going to the obvious source in the first place. So, if any of you were excited to try the brooch too, be sure check etsy! Here’s a few pieces I’ve found that would be perfect.

Looking for some jewelry or accents that will give your life a POP a color!? Look no further!!! While some of this season’s most coveted pieces offer up fun pops of bright color, their price tags might make you pop your lid. The solution? DIY, of course!!!! There’s no need to break the bank when you could just grab your favorite nail polish colors and get creative on some vintage jewelry, old sandals and even your keys!! I’m starting to think nail polish is my new hot glue… endless possibilities!! Here’s a few I’m super eager to try out! P.S. Save your fancy nail polish for fancier times and get bargain packs of bright colors for DIY trials. I personally love this one or these for doing DIY nail polish tricks.

It’s no secret that I’m mildly obsessed with studded things. Studs do my favorite thing in the world!: make dainty and everyday clothes, bags and accessories look bad. ass. And as a gal who rides the “preppy” line, wearing pieces with studs are a great way for me to branch out a bit now and then! Because sometimes you just need some down and dirty fashionable pieces, right? Enter: studded denim shorts. I love that with a basic T and flat sandals studded denim shorts can look totally boho or rocker-chic (a description I don’t love using but in this case it works). But with a blazer and/or a more delicate fabric studded denim shorts add a twist to an otherwise girlie look. Etsy has some really great vintage denim shorts that crafty ones have whipped up, or you can try making your own using the DIY at the end of this post and the many many studs you can also find on Etsy!! {which I DO believe I might try this weekend!}
